Artist bio:
Sandra Salaices earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Jewelry and Ceramics from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2017. Following her graduation, she served as the Artist-in-Residence at the Southwest School of Art from 2017 to 2018, where she both instructed students and maintained a full-time studio practice. Subsequently, in 2018, upon completing her residency, she established her own studio. Presently, she resides and works in Mexico, periodically sharing her expertise as a teacher. Notably, she has taught at institutions such as Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, The University of Texas at El Paso, the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, MX, and virtually at Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft. She has also been a featured presenter and instructor at the Metalwerx Symposium in 2023.
