Artist Statement

Philadelphia Jeweler Caroline Gore's work is exquisitely handmade with details poured over and carefully considered in an effort for a complete luxurious experience for those who collect and wear her work. The touch, embrace and feel of the work on the body is paramount in her design thinking and skilled execution.

Artist Bio:
Caroline Gore’s studio practice is deeply rooted in jewelry and metalsmithing processes – although outcomes vary in media, scale and implementation ranging from jewelry to sculptural installations, photography and large-scale drawing. She maintains a studio in northeast Philadelphia at the Crane Arts Building. Her teaching career has spanned 20 years at numerous institutions in the United States and abroad. She joined the faculty at The University of the Arts in 2014 as an Associate Professor of Craft & Material Studies and taught alongside Rod McCormick until the conclusion of the program in 2021. The content of her studio work is centered on investigations of site and the direct and often indirect relationships we have to place through experience and remembering. Work can be found in the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Arts – Houston, The Museum of Fine Arts – Boston, Racine Art Museum, and numerous private holdings.
