Rachel was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains in Montana. She received her BFA in Metalsmithing from Montana State University in Bozeman and her MFA in Metalsmithing from SUNY New Paltz in New York. Inspired by the beauty that exists in the natural world around her home in the Hudson Valley, Rachel’s work interprets forms found in nature into recycled precious metals with hand-selected gemstones. Natural patterns and silhouettes combined with the strength and movement of metal allow the pieces to have a timeless sensibility through a modern perspective.
