Iker is a singular character. With a calling for architecture and bohemian soul, he is always dressed in black, keeping with the essence -less is more- that lives and breathes at his workshop. Iker Ortiz is a groundbreaking Mexican jewelry designer, heir to a family that goes back four generations into the field. He became an apprentice at his grandfather´s workshop until he was ready to establish his own and eventually, develop his iconic brand in 2005.
Iker´s vision of fine jewelry, designed to highlight the sheer beauty of the stone contrasted against the pristine quality of industrial materials, has resulted in a proposal of outstanding modern and architectural art pieces.
In addition, Iker Ortiz produces every year a new and revolutionary collection which is introduced in Zona Maco, Latin America’s most important contemporary art fair.
Artistic collaborations with top designers, recognition by design awards and engagements in top art and design fairs such as Tent, NY NOW, SIERAAD, Joya and MAD About Jewelry, have positioned Iker as one of the leading ambassadors of jewelry design in the country.
The brand expanded in 2019 beyond online sales, celebrating the opening of its first store in the now world-renowned Roma neighborhood in Mexico City.
In 2022, a second store was opened. Located in the San Miguel Chapultepec neighborhood -which currently concentrates the best of art and design in the Mexican capital- it consolidates the brand’s constant growth and evolution.
