Li’s jewelry practice explores memory and belonging through wearable forms and installation sculptures. Using transparent PLA filament and mixed materials, she transforms lightness and fragility into reflections of resilience and impermanence. Her approach bridges craft and contemporary art, expanding jewelry beyond adornment into storytelling.

Artist Bio:
Xinchen Li is a jewelry artist and sculptor from China, currently based in the United States. She earned her BFA from the University of Kansas and MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work has been recognized with the Women’s Jewelry Association June Herman Scholarship, The ALL Prize, and the Mixed Media Category Winner at the 38th Materials: Hard + Soft International Contemporary Craft Competition. Li has exhibited internationally, including MAD About Jewelry at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Munich Jewelry Week in Germany, and solo exhibitions at Arts + Literature Laboratory in Madison, Wisconsin, and Richmond Art Center in California. Her work has been featured in Jewelry and Metalsmithing Survey, Create! Magazine, and Vogue China.
