The heart of my work lies in capturing and expressing the enthusiasm, energy, and emotion I experience in the natural world. I’m driven by both a deep connection to my surroundings and desire to create. Constantly exploring new materials, I seek to discover how each can be integrated into my work.
Having moved from the lush, green landscapes of England to the striking desert environment of Texas, I find endless inspiration in the contrasts between these two worlds. Each landscape offers unique forms, textures, and colors to explore—shaping both my process and my artistic vision.

Artist Bio:
Helen Dorion is an artist from a small town in Northwest England. She studied textile design at Liverpool Art School and later earned her Master’s degree in metalsmithing and jewelry design in El Paso, Texas, where she now lives and works as a full-time artist.
With over 30 years of experience as both an educator and practicing artist, Helen continues to explore new materials and environments, creating work that reflects her enduring passion for making and her connection to the natural world.
