I am a fine artist from Medellin, Colombia (Universidad de Antioquia, BFA 2014). My work is a series of proposals and tests with objects and object-hood that explores different expressions of matter, its transformation, evolution and
adaptations. I produce jewelry and mechanisms reminiscent of the human body.

My father is a mechanical engineer and has built machines for jewelry making, airplanes and conducted lots of experiments. Through him, I learned to notice the beauty in his workshop, in the gear assemblies, grease, metals, and systems that transmit and generate energy, force and movement in an efficient manner.

When I finally understood his expression, “What a beautiful motor!” I knew I would be interested in the sensations that objects can transmit.
