As an artist, Carolina Gamper, also known as Mino Mino, draws inspiration from the dynamic synergy of ceramics and jewelry. With a foundation in industrial design, her creative journey led her to explore the expressive potential of high-temperature clay and silver. In this new collection, Carolina delved into an ancient ceramic technique known as obvara. This fascinating process begins with the pieces glowing red-hot as they are pulled from the kiln. They are then immersed in a corn ferment, which creates unique and captivating stains on each piece. The result is a collection where every jewel tells a story of fire and transformation, blending tradition with creativity in forms that embody both the mystical and the natural.
