This year marks my 26th year as a maker of jewelry. Repetition and tactility remain at the forefront of thought when making. My most recent interest is in textile patterns and repeats, fabricated in fine stick pearls and vintage stoneware beads.This work speaks of connection, repetition, time, and patience. Each are rooted deeply in my practice and in life.

Artist Bio:
Brooke Marks-Swanson speaks of connection and observation through a universal language of textile and metal wearable art. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in over 100 juried and invitational exhibitions and in 16 publications. Brooke received her MFA from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL. and BFA in from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Her work can be found in The Mint Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Contemporary Craft, Musée du Bijou Contemporain, Cagnes-sur-mer, France, and Muzeum w Walbrzychu, Walbrzych, Poland.
