Sarah Holden makes jewelry and sculpture informed by iconic women in history. Her current body of work examines Queen Elizabeth I, as image-maker, cultural producer and historical female rebel. Holden’s jewelry is inspired by textile patterns and jewelry materials presented in Queen Elizabeth’s portraiture like lace, pearls, gold, silver and mother of pearl.
